AI credits
Foir’s AI features run on credits, a single unit that is easy to predict. You are never billed in tokens, words, or model minutes.
Credits pay for the models Foir runs on your behalf, so chatting with Fóir spends them. Driving your workspace from your own connected agent does not, because that agent brings its own model and its provider bills you directly.
How credits work
Each AI action costs a small number of credits. A quick question costs less than a multi-step task that reads and changes several records. Foir prices every action for you, so you always know an action’s cost in credits and never have to reason about model pricing.
Credits come from two places:
| Bucket | Where it comes from | Resets? |
|---|---|---|
| Plan allowance | Included with your paid plan each billing cycle | Yes. It refreshes every cycle and does not roll over |
| Purchased and trial credits | Top-up packs you buy, plus any free trial credits | No. They stay until you use them |
Foir always spends your plan allowance first, then draws on purchased and trial credits. That way your included allowance never goes to waste, and packs you bought are only used once the included credits are gone.
New workspaces start with a small batch of free trial credits so you can try Fóir before choosing a plan. Trial credits are a one-time grant, so they do not refresh.
Top-up packs
If you need more than your plan includes, you can buy a top-up pack at any time. Purchased credits are added to your balance immediately and never expire, so you can top up ahead of a busy stretch. You will find the packs, and current sizes and prices, on your workspace’s Usage page.
The Usage page
Every workspace has a Usage page under Billing. It shows your available credits right now, how much of this cycle’s plan allowance you have used, your purchased and trial balance, and a breakdown of where this cycle’s credits went. It is the place to check your balance, buy a top-up, or review usage before it becomes a surprise.
Running low, or out
Foir keeps you informed rather than cutting you off without warning.
When you have used most of this cycle’s included credits, Foir shows a heads-up on the Usage page so you can top up or upgrade in good time.
If both your allowance and purchased credits are used up, Fóir pauses and shows a card with a link to top up or upgrade your plan. Everything else in the admin keeps working, because running out of AI credits only pauses AI.
As a safety net against runaway automation, very heavy use in a single day can hit a daily limit. This is rare in normal use, and it resets the next day.
A workspace owner can also turn AI off for the whole workspace. If that has happened, Fóir tells you and points you to your owner to turn it back on.
Credits and your plan
Included credits are part of what each plan offers, alongside your other limits. Compare plans and their included credits on the Pricing page, and manage your subscription from Billing. If you consistently need more, upgrading your plan is usually better value than repeated top-ups.
